Magic Princess: (facing away, paying close attention to breakfast) What happened in school yesterday ?
Lady Bug: My friend taught me about this new kind of sandwich! It’s so, sooooo good! I can’t wait to have more.
Magic Princess: (still turned away, sort of paying attention) What kind, honey?
Lady Bug: Crack.*
Magic Princess: ????!!!!!!
*It turns out she’d stopped right in the middle of the word “cracker”. Cracker and cucumber sandwiches. It was hard to say all that while packing a lunch. My heart is beating again now. Really.
