A Thing
Wise Women
My Aunt Vicki’s birthday is this week and I miss her more than words can say. She was one of the first people I told when I found out I was expecting Lima Bean. I was scared and overwhelmed. She gave me tea and said, “I have four sons and I think they all own guns. What do you need us to do?”
Her letters are treasures. Her advice echoes in my heart every day.
She shares the day with another amazing woman, my friend Psyche-not-in-exile, who challenges me to take action when inertia seems inevitable. (And have you heard this girl sing??)
They are both constant sources of inspiration and courage to me.
